Kestrel is located in the village of Walcott, which lies on a sandy stretch of the North East Norfolk coastline, between Happisburgh & Bacton.

The Village itself has a church, 2 public houses "Lighthouse Inn" and "Poachers Pocket", restaurants & Mini-mart with a post office.

A short 10 minute drive into Bacton there is a cafe that do home cooking and an all day breakfast, plus sandwiches and jacket potatoes this has been recommended by one of our guests. Just off the main road take the coast road and you will find another 2 public houses, Duke of Edinburgh (which has sky screens) also does a lovely carvery and has a fish night on Friday, and The Ship they do a Sunday lunch, they also now do an Indian menu, takeaway available. Also located along this road there is a Fish and Chip shop.

Stalham is 4 miles away and has a Tescos store and the town of North Walsham is 6 miles away this has a Sainsburys, these are the closest towns with further facilities. Great Yarmouth is 23 miles from Walcott.
